Call for entries for the Baillet Latour Prize for the Environment

Have you undertaken an ambitious development or management project on a private property to support and restore biodiversity in your area? Don't hesitate to submit your application for the Baillet Latour Fund's «Environment Prize».1 which each year rewards a private owner or manager for excellence in the development and ecological management of an area in Belgium.

The prize, worth a total of €25,000, may be divided between several winners (private individuals or corporate entities).

The management and organisation of the Prize is entrusted to «Pact'Nature».»2, Fondation d'Utilité Publique, which will be responsible for appointing an independent jury to examine and select the applications. The jury will use the following criteria to assess the applications:

  • Designed by : originality, methodological rigour and ecological coherence.
  • Directed by : personal commitment, social involvement and teamwork.
  • Results : the degree of maturity of the project, in ecological, economic and educational terms.
  • Durability : guarantee of continuity.
    Demonstrate that the Prize will enable the conservation of the natural environment to be improved or, where appropriate, restored.

These criteria should be developed in the application file available on the Pact'Nature. An application submitted but not selected may not be represented for four years. Each applicant (natural or legal person) may submit only one application per year.
