The ForêtFor is a complete introduction to forest management combining theoretical evening classes, field visits and practical exercises. It is open to all novice forest owners, regardless of the size of their forest, and to their children. This is a non-certifying training course.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, you will have a good grasp of the technical and administrative bases of forest management. You'll be able to situate yourself within the industry and have a clear idea of how to communicate with the various parties involved.
PRACTICAL ORGANISATION
10 evening classes (6 to 9 pm): session every first Tuesday of the month from September 2026 to June 2027 in Gembloux (Maison de la ruralité)
10 days in the field: 5 Fridays and 5 Saturdays from September to November and March to June. Each practical session will be held in a different forest and region, providing an opportunity to discover a variety of forests and silvicultures.
The evening classes and field days are inseparable. Participants register for the whole module.
