Is it possible to have participative workcamps in the forest? This is the question that the Forest Guides have tried to answer together, based on 2 years' experience with groups of all ages and styles.
What could be more symbolic than planting trees? Planting trees means believing in the future, making a commitment to future generations and helping to protect the planet. Many groups, companies and individuals contact the Royal Forestry Society of Belgium to offer to make an active contribution to saving the forest by planting trees.
Together, the Forest Guides tested planting, clearing and routing operations. They analysed the steps involved, the technical procedures, the difficulties and the risks encountered. The result of this work, based on reality in the field, is a list of all work can be carried out in the forest by volunteers.
