In North-West Europe, 17.5 % of teenagers suffer from disorders such as depression, anxiety or addiction. Faced with growing demand and saturated mental health services, it is essential to explore complementary, accessible and sustainable approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forest4Youth (NWE0400643) offers an innovative response: integrating nature, and more specifically the forest, into therapeutic support for young people.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-grey-color-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-grey-color-background-color has-background is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The forest, a natural ally for mental well-being<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A large body of research shows that immersion in the forest reduces stress, improves mood, reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression, and boosts concentration. This cross-disciplinary approach aims to :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop solutions that can be reproduced and accessed on a large scale;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage the integration of nature-based therapies into health and regional planning policies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancing the value of natural areas as key drivers of public health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Reconnecting teenagers with nature means offering them an opportunity to improve their mental health.
